Talking Hitchcock: North By Northwest At 65 (4K)

Join Rebecca McCallum of Talking Hitchcock at Mockingbird cinema for Hitchcock’s epic wrong man chase involving planes, trains and Mount Rushmore!

Madison Avenue advertising executive Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) lives a lavish lifestyle of glamour and excess. However, the comfort and the confines of his superficial world are turned upside down when, during an evening of cocktails, he is mistaken for a man named Kaplan.  In true Hitchcockian fashion, the ordinary turns into the extraordinary when Roger finds himself on the run from the shadowy figure of Vandamm (James Mason).

As Roger’s sprawling adventure unfolds, into his life walks the enigmatic, intelligent and captivating Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint), a woman who may or may not be all she seems. What follows is a heart stopping tale of misdirection and deception culminating in one of Hitchcock’s most suspenseful climaxes!

In the year of its 65th anniversary, this is a unique chance to see a Hitchcock classic in 4k and experience the dramatic, entertaining and show stopping odyssey of Roger Thornhill!

Rebecca will be delivering an introductory talk on the film with a Q and A session held after the screening.
